Joseph B. Keller is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics and of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, and former Honorary Professor of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge. Born in Paterson, New Jersey in 1923, Keller earned all three of his degrees at New York University: B.A. in 1943, M.S. in 1946, and Ph.D. in 1948.
